MISSION

The Miami Shores Friendly Villagers Club is an organization of no profit. Through fundraisers that are achieved all monies, less expenses, go to a number of charities in our community. We welcome all individuals who walk through our door with friendship, honesty, caring, sharing and fun.

Thereby, enriching the success and endeavors of the Friendly Villagers.

The Focus of Our Efforts

The Miami Shores Friendly Villagers Club prides itself in giving back, "granting wishes" to non-profits that need it most. The monies raised at our Annual Fashion Show fundraiser are allocated to non-profits nominated by our members. Throughout the year, members are encouraged to invite speakers from different non-profit organzations to share their missions.

OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

ANNUAL FASHION SHOW FUNDRAISER

In 2023, we disbursed $9,000.00 in grants and scholarships to benefit nonprofit organizations and
local schools.

MONTHLY LUNCHEON

Our monthly luncheons feature nonprofit organizations, promote local businesses, and provide networking opportunities.

BACK TO SCHOOL

BACKPACK DRIVE

This year, with the assistance of community partners, we collected 300 backpacks that were supplied to Safe Space DV Shelter, Horace Mann Middle School, Miami-Dade County Foster & Adoptive Parent Association, and various schools in the Historic Overtown area.

ANNUAL HEROES LUNCHEON

We celebrate our local heroes and provide them with a stage to present their nonprofit organization, further encouraging volunteer opportunities for our community.

WELCOME NEIGHBOR PROGRAM

Our organization welcomes new residents to the community
by providing them with a welcome package containing important information to connect
with our Village.

HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE

Our organization has an annual toy drive to benefit our local domestic violence shelter and other nonprofit organizations, gifting over 300 children.
